Weekend Visit to Nuernberg...

Tommy was working at Puma for the week so I decided to come visit him and we stayed in Nuernberg for the weekend. Here are a few pics of our adventure in Franken!
We had Sunday dinner with the Preiss family. It was delicious! Tommy served in their ward for a year and this dear sister always cooked at zone conference. Her tiramisu is legendary!

Nuernberg was where the Nazi party hosted huge rallies. There is a whole complex of buildings, etc. where the rallies were held. This is the Colosseum that wasn't ever finished. It is HUGE!
Kate up at the tribunal where you know who entered and preached to the masses.
Thousands of people could gather here in the Zeppelin field and watch, etc.
This is a cool little town we stopped in when we took the long way home. It took us through the Fraenkische Schweiz which is a super pretty part of Franken. There were cliffs, rivers, and darling houses the whole drive! It was gorgeous!

It was such a great weekend! We played volleyball with the ward Friday night, ate Burger King (I was ecstatic), Tommy went paintballing Saturday on an Army base, we had fajitas for dinner (yum), and Sunday we went to church where Tommy served. It was so fun to see Tommy interact with the people from his mission. He loved being back in "his" dear Nuernberg.
The Dautel family took very good care of us. We loved playing with their cute little girls and celebrating Robbies birthday. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of us together. What was I thinking??
